Dosha Quiz

15 questions that reveal your Ayurvedic constitution — answer based on what has been true throughout your life, not how you feel today.

Question 1 of 15

Understanding your dosha (prakriti)

In Ayurveda, the three doshas — Vata, Pitta and Kapha — are the functional energies that govern body and mind. Your prakriti is the unique balance of them you were born with. This quiz estimates that balance from fifteen questions about your physiology and temperament.

The three doshas

Most people are a blend, led by one or two doshas. The quiz reports single and dual types alike. Once you know your prakriti, you can choose food, routine and a daily rhythm (dinacharya) that keep you in balance.

Prakriti vs vikriti

Your prakriti is your stable, lifelong constitution. Your vikriti is your current state of imbalance — what has drifted out of place recently. This quiz estimates prakriti; answer as you have been for most of your life, not just this week.

Frequently asked questions

What is a dosha?

A dosha is one of the three bio-energies of Ayurveda — Vata, Pitta and Kapha — each a combination of the five elements that governs particular functions of body and mind.

Can I be more than one dosha?

Yes. Most people are a dual type led by two doshas (such as Vata-Pitta), and a few are balanced across all three. The quiz reports single and dual results.

What is the difference between prakriti and vikriti?

Prakriti is your inborn, lifelong constitution. Vikriti is your present imbalance — the doshas that are currently aggravated. This quiz estimates your prakriti.

How should I answer the questions?

Answer based on how you have been for most of your life rather than how you feel this week, so the result reflects your stable constitution rather than a temporary imbalance.

Is this a medical diagnosis?

No. The quiz is an educational guide to Ayurvedic self-understanding and is not medical advice. Consult a qualified practitioner for health concerns.
