Revati

Revati is the last of the twenty-seven nakshatras — the gentle star that completes the journey and sees every traveller safely home. Ruled by Mercury and presided over by Pushan, the nourisher and guide of souls, it grants kindness, protection and a deep, compassionate care for all living things.

Revati — "the wealthy, the prosperous" — is the twenty-seventh of the twenty-seven nakshatras, spanning Pisces 16°40′–30°. It is ruled by Mercury, which means a Moon placed here opens the life with a Mercury dasha period of 17 years.

02Character and meaning

Revati natives are gentle souls. Kind, nurturing and selfless, they have a natural care for the vulnerable — people, animals, the lost — and a soothing presence that puts others at ease. As the final nakshatra, Revati carries a sense of completion and of safe passage, and many born under it are natural guides, protectors and caregivers.

Pushan, who guides travellers and souls on their journeys, gives Revati its protective, nourishing quality and its association with safe endings and new beginnings. These are often spiritual, artistic and quietly wise people. The shadow is over-sensitivity, a tendency to give until depleted, or difficulty with boundaries.
